Matchmakers Or A Dating Service?

So you want to get back into the dating scene but are unsure which service to choose, a matchmaker or and actual dating service, lets have a look at each service and their differences to help you make up your mind on which road to go.

The Dating Service:

The usual online dating service lets the client/user pick the person for a potential date themselves by going through their profile. Profiles usually consists of their photo, interests, age, likes and what they are looking for in a person. Sure, this is a fun and interactive way of meeting new people in your area or all over the world, but one of the biggest struggles with a dating service is that the majority of users go for the good looking or popular people, you know the people who are always the center of attention at bars, clubs, parties and functions. Sure this is great for them and people interested in them and all the luck to them, but this leaves the rest of the user population struggling to be noticed or are overlooked in the meantime. Don't get me wrong, a dating service can have a lot of success and is a fantastic way for meeting new people from all over the world. You can find friends and date people all who you think suits your criteria and contact them. It is very fun and a lively atmosphere. Anyone can join a dating service as they are always looking for people to join as they don't have a set limit on how many people can accommodate.

The Matchmaking Service:

An online matchmaker service is different from a dating service because they do all the looking and matching for you to find the best possible match that suits you. With matchmakers it's all about you, your interests, your wants and needs. Both online and offline matchmaker professionals are very experienced in the field and know whom and how to match up the right personalities and individuals, you may even get introduced to a person you may never have expected or never thought compatible only to find out that both of you share a great compatibility with each other. Matchmakers rely on feedback from both parties and from there they can evaluate whether or not that person suits you, if so - fantastic, but if not they look for a different person. With matchmakers there is a higher percentage of finding you a date with a person your are more compatible with and may even have a long term relationship with. The only real thing with joining an online matchmaking service than a dating service is that not everyone can join. It all depends on the members they already have and whether or not at the time there is someone who is compatible with you. There is no point in joining a matchmaker service if there is no one for you to meet, right?

A Quick Comparison:

With a dating service you have to find the person yourself while a matchmaker service finds the person for you.
With a matchmaker service they have a better chance of finding a person who is compatible with you while a dating service you have to judge for yourself.
A dating service lets anyone join up while a matchmaking service only lets you join when they have people that are compatible with you.
A matchmaker service has a better success rate with long term relationships than a dating service.

Well there you have it, the difference between a dating service and matchmakers, now the choice is up to you. Happy dating everyone.
